EVALUATION OF THE VALUE OF AMMONIA, NITRATE, AND NITRITE ON CULTIVATION MEDIA OF CATFISH FED MAGGOT

Water quality is a limiting factor of life for aquatic biota, especially biota that lives in pond. Therefore, water management very necessary so cultivation activities, ponds can continue and do not cause negative impacts on the surrounding environment. Various factors decrease aquaculture one which from remnants feed fish manure. Feed contributors to dissolved organic matter Maggot or black shoulder fly larvae are alternatives be used as feed. has high animal protein content 30-45%, it effective an alternative additional farming. The purpose this research find out difference pond between by using maggot pellet data taken study primary Complete Randomized Design (RAL) method with 3 treatments replays each treatment. These include Full Control (MU), 50% pellet, (PU). Data obtained include; ammonia. Nitrites, nitrates. results showed average final value ammonia, nitrite, nitrates respectively treatment KU ( 0.22 mg / L, 0.44 mg/L, 3.667 mg/L), PU (0.022 0.042 3.433 MU (0.046 0.028 2.653 mg/L). illustrate conclusion provision maggots improve water.
